Model difference
A bookmaker is a house, you play against them. An exchange is a marketplace, you play against another user, and the platform earns from commission.
What you notice as a user
- Prices: exchange prices are typically closer to fair value.
- Commission: exchanges take 3–5% on net wins per market.
- Layout: exchange interfaces show back/lay prices side by side and can look intimidating.
- Limits: exchanges can hit liquidity walls on unusual markets; bookmakers set their own caps.
Fancy markets
Session/fancy markets are an Indian exchange innovation. Bookmakers offer some equivalents but generally with lower liquidity and worse prices.

Which is safer?
Neither the exchange model nor the bookmaker model is inherently safer. Platform reputation, agent quality and your own bankroll discipline matter more than the model.

Writes match previews covering pitch, conditions, form and match-ups · Contributes explainers on exchange and bookmaker mechanics · Non-wagering analysis only; no tips or predicted outcomes for staking
Arjun writes the match previews: pitch and conditions, head-to-head records, squad form, and the individual match-ups that tend to decide games. His pieces cover India–Australia ODIs, the IPL playoffs and the World Test Championship final. He writes about cricket rather than wagering. The analysis is there to help readers understand why a match unfolds the way it does, and every preview carries the same caveat: cricket is genuinely unpredictable, and past form guarantees nothing.
